Officer of the Month – April: Ms. Karen Miranda Caridad A Life of Faith, Service, and Inspiring Leadership
From Humble Beginnings to a Purpose-Driven Life
Karen Miranda Caridad’s story begins in the quiet town of Mungo, Tuao in Cagayan Valley, Philippines—a place where dreams are nurtured through resilience and hope.
Armed with her degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education, major in Home Economics and Livelihood Education from Cagayan State University – Tuguegarao Campus, Karen carried with her not just knowledge, but a deep desire to uplift her family and create a better future.
As a devoted wife to Angelito Caridad and a loving mother to Karylle, Angela, and Alden, Karen stands as a pillar of strength for her family—both in Canada and back home in the Philippines.
Her journey is rooted in love, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to those she holds dear.

A Courageous Journey Toward a Better Future
Life in the Philippines presented many challenges, leading Karen to make the brave decision to work abroad in Hong Kong as a domestic helper. Those years were filled with hardships, but they also became the foundation of her strength.
Through every struggle, Karen’s faith in God deepened. Her resilience grew stronger, and her determination to succeed became unshakable. These experiences shaped her into the woman she is today—courageous, faithful, and purpose-driven.
In November 2007, Karen took another leap of faith and arrived in Canada through the Live-in Caregiver Program. It was a turning point—a new chapter filled with hope. She was blessed with kind and supportive employers who welcomed her as part of their family.
Their generosity, including supporting her driving education, played a meaningful role in helping Karen adjust and thrive in her new home.

A Life of Service Karen’s journey in Canada is deeply anchored in her faith. Since 2007, she has been an active member of Jesus Is Lord Church, where she discovered her calling in service and leadership.
